Coffee News Destination: Keystone Kafe

Ubiquity

It is our goal at Big O Coffee News headquarters to make our publication available in as many places as possible. We want to be where readers have some idle time in a waiting room, a relaxing 20 minutes at a coffee shop, or at your favorite eatery.

To that end, we are tireless in pursuing new and fun locations to place ourselves. Nothing makes us (me) happier than getting a phone call from a restaurant requesting Coffee News copies for themselves.

The Keystone Kafe

A former staffer at a local breakfast/brunch location has decided to open her own space. The Keystone Kafe is a breakfast destination where you can breakfast including made-to-order omelets!

Go out there and give it a try! Here are the essential details to get there and enjoy.

Free Advertising?! We're Not Kidding

Joke or Parable?

There's an old parable in sales: Man to woman in a bar, "Would you go home with me for a million dollars?" She replies, "You bet I would!"

He follows with, "Would you go home with me for a dollar?"

"No way! What kind of woman do you think I am?!" she yells, offended.

"We've already established what kind of woman you are, Miss, now it's just negotiation."

Haha! But, um, so what?

Advertising is necessary to grow a business, and when business is slow advertising budgets are often the first to be cut. This is a mistake, according to financial/business guru Robert Kiosaki.

In lean economic times, becoming part of a business' advertising budget isn't easy.

Q: "Would you advertise to this many readers for this low price?"
A: "I would, but I've already spent my advertising budget for the [Month/Quarter/Year]"

Advertising dollars should be an investment. Advertising should make you more money than it costs, or its not a wise investment. Right?

So what if it were free? Well, that's a no-brainer.

Co-Op Advertising Dollars

Big O Coffee News can potentially put you in all six of our Omaha editions for free, using the principle of co-op advertising dollars. That is, using money from a company who you carry and promote to co-promote your own business.

Give us a call and see if you can hit nearly 100,000 verified eyeballs every month for zero dollars!

Community Event: Heart Walk

Spring is Here...

and community gatherings for a good cause take to the outdoors. What better way to support a cause than to get together and enjoy the (sometimes) beautiful weather in the Metro.

The American Heart Association is having its annual Heart Walk on Saturday, May 10th at Miller's Landing. From the event's website:

We are coming down to the final stretch to the 2014 Omaha-Council Bluffs Heart Walk. We have a goal to raise $600,000 and we need your help! April 28th is National Superhero Day and we are challenging our Company Leaders, Team Captains and Walkers to "BE HEROIC". During the week of the 28th we will be running a contest each day to help raise money for our life-saving mission. We know with everyone's help, we can reach our goal of $600,000!!
Today is Friday, May 2nd. The contest today is for the walkers (that's a lower-case 'w', no need to stock up on provisions for the Zombie Apocalypse). Every registered walker who has raised at least $25 up to this point will be entered into a drawing to win a $1k donation toward their personal fundraising.

Get out there and walk for the life saving work of the American Heart Association!

When: Saturday, May 10th 2014. Starts at 7:00 am

Where: Miller's Landing (151 Freedom Park Rd, Omaha, NE 68102)

Why: Because you're a good person.
